Boyzone – Thank You & Goodnight
One of the biggest boybands of the ‘90s with more than 25-million album sales worldwide, Boyzone end their illustrious career this 2019 with Thank You & Goodnight – their last ever tour.
Part of the “boyband hysteria” that took over commercial music throughout the ‘90s, Boyzone dominated music charts worldwide with a string of memorable pop classics such as “Love Me for a Reason”, “No Matter What”, “When You Say Nothing at All”, and more – where they consistently reached the number-one spot in both the Irish Singles Chart and the UK Singles Chart. Comprised of all-Irish members Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, Shane Lynch, Stephen Gately and Michael Graham, Boyzone formed in 1993 led by The X Factor judge Louis Walsh, and quickly went on to become one of the most successful boybands in history with fans spanning worldwide.
Boyzone have seven bestselling albums – three of which have certified Platinum status. In November 2018, they released their conclusive studio album Thank You & Goodnight, which came hand-in-hand with brand new singles “Because” and “Love”. The album marks their 25th anniversary together, as well as the final year in which they’ll perform together as Boyzone.
For Australian fans across the nation, don’t miss Boyzone’s farewell tour Thank You & Goodnight, when it stops for two days at The Star Gold Coast on April 7 and April 8.
Menopause The Musical
Menopause The Musical is the sensational musical-production by Robert C. Kelly about four women that have undergone “the change”.
A sold-out international production that has left millions of women – and obliging husbands – in stitches all across the globe, Menopause The Musical returns to Australia for 2019 – presented by SK Entertainment and GFour Productions – with one unmissable date on the Queensland Gold Coast. A sidesplitting musical with parodies of famous songs from the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s, this must-see production follows four middle-aged women in a lingerie store as they relate over hot flushes, lack of sex, memory loss and night sweats.
It’s a celebration of menopause jam-packed with hilarious one-liners and relatable crises, making up one laugh-out-loud musical-production that shouldn’t be missed for women that are coming up to, in the middle of, or have thankfully survived “the change”.
See Menopause The Musical in all its hilarity at The Star Gold Coast on April 13.
Alexey Arkhipovsky
Hailed as one of the best balalaika players in the world, Russian virtuoso Alexey Arkhipovsky offers a live music performance that’s nothing short of mesmerising.
Born in Russia in 1967, Alexey Arkhipovsky began balalaika lessons at the tender age of nine, and by 2002, he was touring worldwide as a balalaika soloist with notable Russian festival performances in the US, China, Germany, France, Spain and more. In 2009, Alexey Arkhipovsky performed in the opening ceremony of the second semi-final in the Eurovision Song Contest, held in Moscow. Fast-forward to 2019, Alexey Arkhipovsky is celebrated all over as one of the world’s most expressive maestros of the balalaika, and a rare talent that isn’t to be missed for anyone with a serious love for intricate string-work and thought-provoking live performance.
Direct from Russia, Alexey Arkhipovsky comes to The Star Gold Coast for one night only on April 17.
