From August 3 to August 13, additional city-wide activations for the annual event will occur at North Burleigh, Broadbeach Cultural Precinct, Gold Coast Botanical Gardens, HOTA, Home of the Arts, and Currumbin Valley. Spread down a picnic rug along the Nerang River for a unique music series that uses the Gold Coast’s scenic backdrop. The second day is Shugorei. The music of Shugorei is a fantastic fusion of engrossing electronic production with the sensibility of modern classical music. The last performer is Claire Edwardes, a superb musician whose enthusiasm for music that features percussion is evident in every show she performs.
HEAVEN AND HELL – August 10 to 12
Beverly Kills (from RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under Season 2) is between “Heaven and Hell”, and she puts the dead in drop-dead gorgeous. Buckle up for a spectacular performance that is 100% DRAG and 100% humour, cabaret, and drag.
